Comte de Vogüé
"...the De Vogue Musigny is a wine of great profundity and one of Burgundy's rare and remarkable treasures" Remington Norman, The Great Domaines of Burgundy
Highly regarded as the greatest estate in Chambolle Musigny, today the 15th century domaine is headed by its 20th generation – Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, the granddaughters of the late Comte Georges de Vogüé. The Musigny Vieilles Vignes has been a consistently rich and refined burgundy over the last century. The domaine owns the majority of Le Musigny Grand Cru. The vines are of significant age which naturally keeps yields down. François Millet, the talented winemaker, vinifies on a individual parcel basis and lovingly makes a classic style. The Chambolle Musigny Les Amoureuses and Bonnes Mares are also very striking, whilst the Chambolle Villages and Chambolle 1er Cru are truly expressive.
