Storage or Cellarage

Over the last 15 years  L'Assemblage has amassed a stockholding running into several millions of pounds, which have been well cellared in the best chambers at London City Bond, Tilbury and EHD in Weybridge.

We recommend both these bonds to our trade and private clients. LCB are the biggest bonded warehouse keepers in the country for fine wine and EHD are a smaller operation well suited to private client storage in their underground Locke King Vaults. Both have temperature and humidity controlled conditions ideal for fine wine. Certain rare and anniversary bottles are stored in our Georgian cellars in correct conditions and available for immediate dispatch.

International Storage

Many of our clients require their wines ex France. We have storage accounts with two specialist bonds in Beaune and Bordeaux as well as in New York and Hong Kong. For further information and advice please contact us.

Service

These bonds charge from £8 per case per year including insurance at full replacement value . We can arrange for your own personal account to be set up and regular reports on your incoming and existing wine conditions.  Qualified personnel  work closely with us on conditional reports, secure packing and photography.  Quality digital shots are taken for most wines we stock. Others can be taken and emailed on demand. Each bond have their own reliable national delivery service and good relations with the specialist international shippers that we work with.

Packing

The way a fine wine is cellared and packed  for delivery is taken as seriously as wine storage itself. We store in original wooden cases and cartons where possible. In the event there is no original case or we have sold mixed bottle lots, a thick eco friendly cardboard box is our preferred choice of casing.

We are increasingly using biodegradable air packs over styrofoam these days and urge others to conform to these environmentally friendly ways. Attractive polished wood silk lined gift boxes are available on request. Old and valuable bottles may have cellophane over their labels, or bottle bags for added protection.
