Burgundy
''The first duty of wine is to be Red...the second is to be a Burgundy" Harry Waugh
"Nothing makes the future look so rosy as to contemplate it through a glass of Chambertin." Napoleon Bonaparte
Many connoisseurs believe Burgundy to be the ultimate region. With 70,500 acres under vine, this premium French wine region is less than half the size of Bordeaux. The small vineyard 'climats' include those in the appellations of Chablis, the Côtes de Beaune and Côtes de Nuits. Here Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes reign supreme and make up almost all the red and white wine production. Alongside the Village wines, there are 600 Premier Cru vineyards and just 33 Grand Crus. We are known for stocking the best growers, from generic villages Bourgogne up to grand crus like Musigny, Chambertin and Le Montrachet.
