Auxey-Duresses, Les Riames Monopole, François de Givry 2017
From the smallest Monopole in the Côte de Beaune
"Fresh floral, vanilla aromas with nectarine notes. Fresh citrus and stonefruit flavours linger. This is really very elegant with a soft texture and finely balanced minerally finish, lifted by the zingy acidity. Tasted blind with a Master of Wine who thought it was a good Meursault 1er Charmes. It's excellent value by comparison, and sits up alongside the more expensive names from the region."
