Henriot Cuve 38 La Réserve Perpétuelle - Magnums

Champagne, France

"Henriot has secretly mixed a tank of the best vineyards separately. 1000 numbered magnums are made from this prestigious Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs made in all vintages between 2007 and 1990 stored 6 years on the yeast before the disgorging in 2014. The dosage is a low 5 grams per liter. The solera is thus 100% directly from the large tank which incredibly has managed to keep away every hint of oxidation. I tried the still vine straight from the tank and was struck by the Puligny-like character with chablis-like purity and nutella and Tahiti vanilla on top. Exactly these aromas are clearly noticeable after a while in the glass of the finished champagne. Of course also now with a nice autolytic notee of freshly baked baguette. Straight through a radiantly sublimely elegant creation in shimmering green-yellow and cirtus costume. Despite age, this beauty is only in its first phase on the road to perfection. Store for at least another five years to allow the nutella and coffee notes to blossom." Richard Juhlin
