Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru, Les Saint Georges, Henri Gouges 2018

"The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru has a ripe, almost ostentatious bouquet with copious red cherries, blueberry and violet aromas, but perhaps lacks the detail of the Les Vaucrains at the moment. The medium-bodied palate offers supple tannins on the entry. Fleshy and generous, although it needs more clarity and a bit more density and grip on the finish considering the vineyard in question. Not bad, but I have tasted better Les Saint-Georges from Gouges in the past." Neal Martin
